Dia Bras (DIB.v): Does the market like reverse stock splits?

No, it doesn't.
DIB is a stock we held for quite a while over at The IKN Weekly and made a good return on it too, having spotted it early we bought at 14c and sold a couple of weeks ago at 35c (and bits). Once the dust has settled on this rollback we'll take a second look. But not for a while.

And while I'm thinking about it, we have a new buy reco for the Weekly this weekend. A copper play with a shot at some decent short-term upside, so watch out for that one guys.

DIB gets a million

Main shareholder of Dia Bras (DIB.v), ARC Fund, has just exercised its 15c warrants on the company (and you can bet the farm ARC won't be selling, too).

Dia Bras Exploration Inc. (DIB)

As of March 24th, 2010
Filing Date Transaction Date Insider Name Ownership Type Securities Nature of transaction # or value acquired or disposed of Unit Price
Mar 24/10 Mar 23/10 Arias Resource Capital Fund L.P. Direct Ownership Common Shares 54 - Exercise of warrants 7,000,000 $0.150
Mar 24/10 Mar 23/10 Arias Resource Capital Fund L.P. Direct Ownership Warrants 54 - Exercise of warrants -7,000,000 $0.150

This adds $1.05m to the company treasury and more interestingly adds more % holding of shares out to DIB just before it runs its rights issue (if you hadn't worked it out already, the lower the share price the better for ARC Fund on the rights...just sayin').

Disclosure: Long DIB and staying long. A company with a great future (esp at current prices).

mining snippetz

Silver porn! Dia Bras (DIB.v) pleases the crowd with the above photo and the news release that goes with it. You'll also note the latest in MinerFashion. Derek Zoolander taught 'em everything they know.

New Gold (NGD) 4% down? Wasn't this news supposed to shoot it skywards? Shome mishtake shurely, ossifer!

Animas now 27% down at 68c.

Meanwhile, the stock that dare not speak its name (K-Y) has news. This press release today has a phrase that you don't see very often:

"....Cryst_llex has acted reasonably..."

This big ol' world never stops surprising, ah tellz ya.
