Buenos Aires Microcentro, photo showing the building this author was sitting in nine years ago to the day. So much seems to have changed that the changes are probably illusory. But events? Yes, they've happened.

For the record, I can't remember where I was on September 11th 1973.

This week reader PS offers us a dreamy late evening (update: mistake made, as PS just wrote in to say it was in fact early morning) shot he took of Lake Maggiore.

The lake is in the Swiss Alps near the border with Italy and gives us a slice of Europe to leaven the recent Americana in the series.

Today reader SS shows us the view from lodgings at Barichara, Colombia

Here we are in July, with all you Northern Hemisphere types now doing summery things and visiting places and taking photos from balconies with piña coladas in the other hand. So as this series has stretched out far longer than I imagined it would, if you feel like sending in a snap of a nice place visited this year we can run these over the northern summer period (and make your author shiver with jealousy).

He nailed the photo in full flower, rare days for a San Pedro. Looks like the neighbour is building, too.
