Birdwatching Alert! Lens-wearing Albatross spotted over Argentine Andes area: Investors should be aware of the wealth removal powers of this bird

They're putting the band back together, folks, so if you got ripped off by The Albatross and company last time, why not just plough right back in and let yourself get sold out for peanuts a second time? Yes indeedy, the Aurelian guys have got back together (with the exception of Barron and Leary....why that should be oh er nobody could guess) and are about to pump their new high altitude next to Pascua Lama all over a mining news information service near you. It's called Malbex, by the way, and they've already raised nearly $10m in seed capital (aka the people who will make money on this). Here's the PR that pre-announces the media onslaught expected in September. Caveat emptor multiplied 1000 times and tattoed on your forehead.
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 27, 2009) -
NOT FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Arapaho Capital Corp. (TSX VENTURE:AHO) ("Arapaho") and Malbex Resources Inc. ("Malbex") report that they continue to progress towards completion of their previously-announced business combination (the "Proposed Transaction").
The Proposed Transaction will be effected by way of a three-cornered amalgamation whereby Malbex will amalgamate with a wholly-owned subsidiary of Arapaho and shareholders of Malbex will receive common shares of Arapaho on the basis of one common share of Arapaho for 1.5 common shares of Malbex.

It is currently anticipated that the closing of the Proposed Transaction will take place on or before August 31, 2009.

The Friday OT: The Whizzo Chocolate Company by Monty Python's Flying Circus

I thought about embedding a Michael Jackson tune, but as Ten Percent beat me to it with the best MJ track of all time (the awesome 'Blame It On The Boogie', go watch it on this link) there was little point.

So here goes with a triple bill of top Python taken from 'Live at the Hollywood Bowl'. First up is 'Whizzo Chocolates' (one of the finest sketches ever and often overlooked), then the wonderfully wonderful 'Albatross' (dedicated as always to Paddy Anderson...bless him) and finished off with 'Nudge Nudge'.

Remember; if we took the bones out it wouldn't be crunchy. Enjoy.

Welcome to Colossus Minerals and the world of shiny beads and mirrors

Congratulations to Colossus Minerals (CSI.to) that has finally managed to return an amazing three drill cores results totalling a mouthwatering 900m or so after having a measly three rigs operating at the Serra Pelada site for close on three months*. Here's the PR.

So here are a few thoughts to chew on:

  • Before you start drooling and salivating about the high gold and PGM returns (and for sure those numbers look sexy, don't they?) think about just how much of the goodstuff is concentrated in one thin band. And what do you know about the host rock? You think it'll be easy underground mining? Think again, and bigtime.
  • If you don't know what "excludes intervals of no core recovery" means you shouldn't even be looking at the stock, let alone justifying your expensive an erroneous purchase to yourself, and even less evangelizing it to other suckers.
  • Why aren't the drillhole location maps available today, as is normal protocol? Why does the company want us all to stare at numbers like 27m @ 35g/t Au (which we always knew existed) without showing us the positionings? Why will the maps only be on site "shortly"?
  • Why didn't they bother setting out a table for hole SPD-022? Guys, you're allowed to drill dusters, it's part of the game. It's only when you're doing a smoke'n'mirrors show for retail suckers that you start feeling threatened by non-returning holes.

Remember, this is the kind of outfit that believes The Albatross is an asset to the company. That can only mean KY Jelly somewhere along the line for the little guys cos people like Paddy don't give a damn and will do you over eventually. Process begins today.

Bottom line: don't buy the bullshit, don't believe the hype. Don't go long CSI.to. Don't go short CSI.to. Just avoid. Like the plague.

UPDATE: nuff said

*yes, it's sarcastic

Colossus Minerals (CSI.to): ONE......MILLION......DOLLARS

Capo de tutti capi! So c'mon guys, what does Pat DiCapo know about Colossus Minerals that we ordinary souls are unaware of (as yet)? I mean, this DiCapo guy is a big swinger in the world of Toronto capital markets and has his fingers on all sorts of pulses in the land of the prospector; why should he suddenly feel the need to dispose of half a million shares of CSI.to just days after the 12 month vesting period was up? Could it possibly be the name 'Josimar Barbosa' that has him worried?

Anyhow, that's a tasty million in the bank Pat, so nice job. Just a day before that financing prospectus was published that sent the stock under $2. Lucky timing, too. Hey, I don't suppose he's been talking to the other Pat, our friend Albatross Anderson? After all they were on the board of directors at Aurelian together and somehow.... strangely.... coincidentally....the Albatross got a job at Colossus recently, too.

Aaaaah, great system of wealth distribution you guys got up there. If it ain't broke don't fix it, and enjoy Peedac y'hear, eh?
