Trading Post (requested edition)

It's funny how this section now gets requests....

Canplats (CPQ.v) up 15.8% at $2.49 on this news. The numbers look very solid to me and this upmove on volume is perfectly understandable. I've always been leery on this company, though....the people running it have, up to now, managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on previous occasions. But the numbers....capex $133m for a 5% discounted IRR of 32.5%....very solid.

Riverside Resources (RRI.v) up 21.3% at $0.57 and looks like a breakout to me. RRI also has good newsflow this morning, but in the style of JMS also points out that results from the drill program just set up won't be due til December. RRI will never be accused of hyping itself, that's for sure. I own....winnah!

Capella Resources (KPS.v) down 7.1% at $0.52. Why should this thing be down? Is it something to do with the fact that it's a total scumball scam operation that's set up to screw shareholders into the ground and line the pockets of its thieving insiders only? Yeah...probably....

Girly Stock (GRL.v) down 3.6% at $1.35 on low volumes. Those headwinds that I feel? IKN25 had a short'n'sweet section on GRL that outlined some of the issues the Morelos project faces and what we might expect from TeamCanada™ backing the deal.

Crown Point Ventures (CWV.v) UNCH at $0.94 but doing good volumes again. look out for newsflow on this one soon...I hope.

As for the small silver producers*, USA.v up 2.8% at $0.185, EDR.to up 1.9% at $3.23, FVI.v up 1.9%at $1.61, GPR.to up 2.4% at $0.87, FR.to up 2.1% at $3.39. Apart from the very likeable FVI.v, I'm beginning to get warmer to FR.to (and it's taken a long time to get even to tepid on this). Let's see if First Majestic can finally impress with a decent profit when it's 3q09 earnings hit. Until then, watching brief only.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot. Speaking of small silvers, IPT.v down 2.4% at $0.83. No further comment from me on IPT today, let's leave it to our friend the owl.
Yeah, thought he'd say that.

*ECU.to is not included on this list as it is not a silver producer. That's the company's official definition, not mine.
