The markets will like the news out of Peru this evening, as Ollanta Humala has just confirmed the strong rumours that have been floating round since last week and has named Luis Miguel Castilla, a economically orthodox technocrat-type of play, as his Finance Minister. (and oh coolness, his party made the call via Twitter, check it out right here). Along with the weekend's decision to keep Julio Velarde at CenBank, now that Luis Castilla has the other main roles that matters to the rest of the world the stage is now clear for a Peru that's not going to spook you gringos out of FDI in the country.
