Chart of the day is...

......the results from Chile's election yesterday.

With 98% counted Sebastian Piñera hasn't made the 50% needed to win in the first round, but the difference built up against government candidate Frei looks good enough to see him through in the ballotage on January 7th. Put simply, it's long odds-on Piñera to pick up the extra 6% of votes needed and be the next President of Chile.

Third placed Marco Enríquez-Ominami did ok with 20% and 4th Jorge Arrate picked up enough votes to give him a certain amount of local voice in the next few years.
